Christians Never Violent

A very famous misconception is that Christianity is a very violent religion. I am going to show you how this is a totally false claim. First we should have the proper meaning of terms. This page will help you in this - What Christianity is .

Now that we have this cleared up let us proceed. If you search through the history you will see that the church persecuted people. In fact the church refereed to there is the Catholic church. Is catholic church a church? No. As per the scriptures the RC does not follow the teachings of Christ. Serious research will show you that what RC is made up of. That is a different story and I am not digging into it now. Therefore if you point at RC's persecution history and call it Christian persecution you will be totally wrong. Christians do not persecute anyone.

When people call Christianity a violent religion, one thing they do is to quote some verses where God commands killings. They commit the same mistake that they commit when calling God cruel. I have an article that deals with this - GOD of the Bible is NOT Cruel.

So NO Christianity is not a violent religion.

  1. Did you know that Jesus brought war? "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." (Matthew 10:34). Unfortunately the other page is not up, so I can't debunk those claims. According to Luke 14:26, we're supposed to hate people, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple." If hate doesn't bring violence, then I'm surprised. Christians bomb abortion clinics. I want to know what violence means to you if you claim that that isn't violence. If you're going to say "No TRUE Christian would do that!" That would be the No True Scotsman fallacy.

You are plain ignorant. First of all the Bible is God's words. Secondly, we are living in a different time now. If you think that by just casual reading of the Bible, you can understand what it means, then you are plain foolish and ignorant.

      Same ignorance.

The Bible does not teach violence, which you would know if you study the Bible. Either those who bombed are not Christians or they just people who call themselves Christians without proper understanding of what the Bible teaches.
