Many of you atheists do not know what atheism is. Let me offer this pill. Atheism is not a belief system. It is just a position you hold. In other words atheism has nothing to do with what you believe. It is the position you take.
In the beginning atheism was defined as "belief that God does not exist". Later, when this definition was challenged, it was changed to a more comfortable one. Atheism was defined as "non-belief in the existence of God". Both the definition meant the same thing. But atheists denied that both were same and insisted that the this definition was different from the other one and that it defined their position more clearly. They held on to the new definition assuming that, that make life easier for them. But when that definition too was challenged, the definition was changed further. Now they defined atheism as "the absence of belief". This is the current definition they hold.
So you could say that atheists are those do don't believe in beliefs. You could also put it this way.. "atheists are those do not believe in their own position". In other words what they believe about the existence of God has no connection with the position they take about this issue. Why then do they take a position which has nothing to do with what they believe? There are two reasons.
